This hardcover copy of the Brady Tarot Expanded Guidebook includes both an interactive e-book and a fold-out poster of the 3rd Edition’s box art. Written by the legendary Rachel Pollack and recently expanded by the deck’s artist Emi Brady, this hardcover book features more than 200 pages of Tarot wisdom and full color imagery.
In her original entries for each of the original 78 cards written in 2018, Rachel invites the reader to explore the world of the Brady Tarot, a place she calls “the wilderness of Spirit.” Card by card, Rachel offers both the artist’s intentions with the images as well as her own expert insights into the deeper meanings present in the cards. Whether the reader is a novice or a master of the Tarot, her words offer new perspectives on both this deck and the Tarot tradition as a whole.
The expanded additions written by the artist in 2025 include new reversal interpretations for each card, 2 newly-added card images with their own interpretations, a two-part foreword, and an introduction for each suit. They also overhauled the layout of the book, adding a full-color, full page spread for each card’s image. Paired with its interpretation on the opposite page, this new layout makes viewing and studying the cards’ details a pleasure.
While this guidebook was written with the Tarot reader in mind, it is equally at home in the libraries of art and nature-lovers alike. With the painstaking attention to detail and deep care expected of an artist, Emi’s new layout offers a feast for the eye.
The book measures approximately 6.25”x 8”x 0.75” (159*203*19 mm), and the fold-out poster measures 11.25”x 14.5” (286*368 mm). The book comes with a sewn-in black ribbon bookmark and gold foil details on the front and back covers and along the spine.
